WHAT IS PRODUCTION MONITORING (PM)?

Production monitoring is a specialized on-site inspection performed to verify the production status and the inventory of raw materials. An inspector examines your factory and checks the quantity of the raw materials and accessories required for your products before production. Detailed reporting for the entire or specific production cycle of your product will be carried out.

Why Perform Production Monitoring (PM)?

Production monitoring provides continuous visibility and control over your manufacturing process, helping ensure quality, compliance, and on-time delivery. Key benefits include:
      1. Accountability Throughout the Production Run
Ensure that your factory remains responsible and transparent from the start of production until completion.
        2. Full Control & Visibility
Gain real-time insight into every stage of production, enabling faster decision-making and proactive management.
       3. Detect Unauthorized Sub-Contracting
Identify any possibility of hidden or unauthorized outsourcing that could compromise quality or compliance.
       4. Early Detection of Delays
Spot production delays at an early stage, allowing time for corrective action before deadlines are impacted.
     5. Assess Internal Quality Control
Evaluate the supplier’s internal QC processes and identify weaknesses that could affect product quality.
            6. Evaluate Production & Warehouse Environment
Identify poor storage or production conditions that may harm product integrity.
            7. Verify Actual Production Capacity
Confirm whether the factory’s claimed capacity is realistic and achievable.

Production Monitoring Process

A typical process includes the following checks:
  • Availability and planning of raw materials and accessories
  • Production organization and status check
  • Production process and an internal factory review

What’s the outcome of Production Monitoring?

Clients receive a detailed inspection report outlining the current production status, which is accessible through their online ABS account.

The report includes:

  • The verified production completion percentage

  • Findings and observations from the on-site inspection

  • Photos of any issues or non-conformities

  • An overall pass/fail result for the monitoring visit
